Epiphone Cortez Repair Blog #2: Planning & Pulling Apart

So, kids, that brings us to the end of this entirely too long blog. We’ve made good progress, even if the guitar is now in a pretty sorry state: no frets, no bridge, no nut. Next time out I’ll show you how I repaired the cracks on the back of the instrument and fixed that broken back brace we spotted. Plus, we’ll scrape down the top, remove the old lacquer and think about what would be a suitable new finish for a working instrument like this.

Until then, thanks for reading. Leave comments if you like or get in touch.
